NATIONAL DRILL COMPETITION 2009

East view Secondary School is organising National drill competition 2009 on the 11th of July. Below are some details of the competitions.

Date, location & time
Date: 11th July 2009
Day: Saturday
Time: 0800-1230
Location: East View Secondary School

Squad strength
Each school will be allowed to send only 1 drill competition team to compete in both the standard and fancy drill components. Each team will comprise of:
1. 1 squad commander
2. 18 cadets inside the squad
3. at least 3 reserves

Age limit
This competition is open to all secondary 1 to 5 (those born in the years 1992 to 1996) cadets only. However, only a total of 6 secondary 4 and 5 cadets may be included in the team including reserves.

Timing
Each team will have 3 minutes with an option of 1 minute to continue. During their performance there will be a timer. He will inform the judges whether the 3 minutes is up. Marks will be deducted after the first 3 minutes and after the last minute no marks will be issued for the drills performed after the total 4 minutes.

For your informations:
If you are selected, please come for every trainings. Timetable for the trainings is still in the process. Training will be strict. And those people who does not turn up for training more than once without valid reasons will be directly out from the squad unless he performs and prove to us again. Cadets who are late for trainings will be punished. If problems still persist, he will have to be kick out from the squad. Limited spaces only, so WORK FOR IT!!! any cadets who are interested can inform mrjason or sms me.
